Hospital leadership, senior doctors, nurses and staff participate in flag-hoisting ceremonies
CARE Hospitals and Aster Hospitals celebrated 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour across their facilities, with doctors, nurses and healthcare workers coming together to honour the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and reaffirm their commitment to serving the nation through healthcare.
At CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills, Dr Pawan Kumar, CEO – India II, Aster DM Quality Care Limited, hoisted the National Flag in the presence of hospital leadership, senior doctors, nurses and staff.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pawan Kumar said, “Independence Day reminds us of the sacrifices that built our nation and the responsibility each of us carries towards its future. Since Independence, India has witnessed remarkable growth and transformation across every sector. As responsible citizens, each of us has a role to play in taking the nation forward with a clear vision and a strong sense of responsibility as we work towards the goal of Viksit Bharat @2047. While our soldiers protect the country at its borders, healthcare professionals safeguard the health and lives of our people every day. Both serve the nation with dedication and a deep sense of duty.”
The celebrations included flag-hoisting ceremonies, the National Anthem and patriotic activities, with doctors, nurses and employees paying tribute to the freedom fighters whose courage and sacrifices paved the way for an independent India.
The occasion also highlighted the role of healthcare in nation-building. A healthier population strengthens communities, supports economic progress and contributes to the country’s overall development. Healthcare professionals, who remain available around the clock to care for patients, continue to play an important role in building a healthier and stronger India.
Even as Independence Day celebrations were held, hospital teams continued to provide emergency, critical care and essential medical services, reflecting the round-the-clock responsibility of healthcare professionals towards patients and communities.
