A highly decorated officer of the Indian Air Force, Air Marshal Tejinder Singh brings with him decades of distinguished service, extensive operational experience, and expertise in joint military planning and force integration.
Commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force, the Air Marshal has held several important command, staff, and instructional appointments during his illustrious career. He has commanded operational units and formations and has served in key assignments at Air Headquarters and tri-services organisations.
Before assuming the appointment of CISC, Air Marshal Tejinder Singh held senior leadership positions in the Indian Air Force, contributing significantly to operational preparedness, capability development, and strategic planning.
As the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, he will be responsible for promoting jointness and integration among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, facilitating tri-services planning, capability development, and supporting the Chief of Defence Staff in enhancing India’s joint military preparedness.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen inter-service coordination, theatre-level integration, and the ongoing transformation of the country’s higher defence organisation.
