It is reported from the village of Gwal Pahari in Gurgaon that a builder has encroached and erected a wall on a revenue road illegally. The builder allegedly used force against those who opposed this unlawful act. The villagers of Gwali Pahari and Mandi in Gurgaon wrote to Chief Minister M.L. Khattar in this regard and pleaded for his immediate attention and intervention. Due to the erecting of the wall, the villagers are deprived of its access, including to visit places of worship. The shortest access road to the village is blocked, affecting daily livelihoods and causing anger among the villagers. It is said that those who want to visit the temple must travel an 8–10 km-long route due to this blockage.

Earlier, people complained to the Municipal Commissioner of Gurugram and the District Collector against the illegal construction, but no one has taken any action or taken cognizance till date. The villagers said that the builder claims the wall is being built on behalf of MCG, but MCG authorities deny any approval or work order for the construction.

The villagers have knocked on the CM's door for help, pleading for directives to be issued to officials.

“We have no other options but to reach the head of our state. We have high hopes from our CM”, said a resident of the village requesting anonymity.
