Key Highlights:
800 MW Thermal Power Unit: The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for an 800 MW unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamuna Nagar. This ₹8,469 crore project, spread over 233 acres, is expected to be completed by March 2029. Once operational, it will significantly boost Haryana’s energy infrastructure.
Cultural Significance: During the event, PM Modi highlighted Haryana’s rich cultural heritage, referring to it as the land of Maa Saraswati and Kapalmochan Sahib. He described the state as a confluence of culture, devotion, and dedication.
