India won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025

India clinched the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 title by defeating New Zealand in a thrilling final held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 9, 2025.  New Zealand batted first and set a target of 252 runs, with notable contributions from Daryl Mitchell (63 runs) and Michael Bracewell (53 not out). India’s spinners, particularly Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy, were instrumental in restricting New Zealand’s progress.

This victory marks India’s third Champions Trophy title, having previously won in 2002 and 2013.  Under Sharma’s leadership, India has now secured back-to-back ICC trophies, reinforcing their dominance in white-ball cricket.

Despite the loss, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra was named Player of the Tournament for his exceptional all-round performance, highlighting the competitive spirit and talent displayed throughout the competition.
